you would actually consider squillaci as a captain theo ? coming from lyon fan, he wasnt exactly a person who lead by example.

as you noted, i think the biggest hole we feel in navarro’s absence is the drive and inspiration of a true leader, the lack of which has lead to the inconsistencies we’ve been lamenting all season here. it’s a testimony to his quality that we haven’t found a suitable replacement for him 2 years after his injury. i hope sevilla finds a role for him–who’s coaching the b squad right now? i’d love to see him spend a couple years there and then move up if it turns out he has what it takes.
