Notes on Fenerbahçe-Sevilla
By: Ryan | February 20th, 2008I’ll try to get a live blog going? But I have to admit, I’m so bad at that since I’m too into the game to type, plus I watch the games on my computer anyway.
So, here are some notes before the game starts.
Diego Capel is on the bench for the beginning of this game. This is the first time in a LONG time the 19 year old canterano has seen the bench. In his place is Duda, hopefully to give a more ‘mature’ look for Sevilla on the left
-You can’t even hear the announcer from Sevilla FC Radio as the fans are a tope one of my Favorite spanish words which means ‘all out or to its limit’. The announcer is also going nuts because the Fenerbahçe players go around and salute the fans before the games, apparently he is impressed by this since he has mentioned it 10 times. And now he’s describing the pancartas ‘banners’ which say Fenerbahçe is going to Moscow. Not without beating MY Sevilla first!!
Gol by Fenerbahçe on 16 minutes. My stream crapped out so I didnt see it, but it sounded like a easy goal as a player was left alone by the Sevilla defense.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!! Edu puts it in his own net on a Dani Alves cross. 1-1

Bah, Fener 3 – Sevilla 2. Fener scored in the 87th minute to win the game. All in all, I’m not that depressed since a 1-0 win in Sevilla will get us through with the away goals rule.
I’ll write more later.

Yeah, Sevilla wins on 1-0 or 2-1, so I have to say you have the best chance, but a goal is definitely needed. Would have been nice to hold them at 2-2, but oh well. Good luck on the return.

Rexus,
Your defense was terrible tonight, if Sevilla could have hit the broad side of the barn they would be up.
It was a good game though, but at the Sanchez Pizjuan, things will be different.
