Not the end of the World

By: Anthony | September 5th, 2008

The highly anticipated 08-09 campaign has officially kicked off with Sevilla being held to a 1-1 draw in Santander against Racing.

Sevilla dominated posession but failed to get anything going as Racing contained Romaric and Maresca in the midfield and as a result dangerous moves never materialised. Dispite this, Sevilla struck first with Luis Fabiano breaking the deadlock on the 70th minute with a powerful left foot drive from a tough angle. All was not good though as former Sevilla Atlético striker Juanjo capitalised from Konko’s and Squillaci’s poor marking and finished his header from inside the 6 yard box with ease.

I have posted the highlights this week but from now on, check my Youtube account here every week for the latest highlights.

Although this was a disappointing result considering our pre-season form, at least we managed one point away seeing as both Real and Barca lost at Depor and Numancia respectively.
