Luis Aragonés is up to it again
By: Ryan | October 12th, 2007Since we now have a lull in La Liga, it’s time for Luis Aragonés to make a fool out of himself again. This time he isn’t spouting racist remarks, but he is basically giving it to Raúl, hard.
He says.
‘Sabes a cuantos mundiales ha ido Raúl?’
Do you know how many World Cup’s Raul has been to?
‘A Tres’
Three
‘Tu sabes a cuantos Copas de Europa ha ido?’
Do you know how many European Cups he’s been to?’
‘A Dos’
Two’
‘Dime las que hemos ganado?’
Tell me which ones we’ve won?’
And he keeps repeating ‘Dime la que hemos ganado’. It appears as if Luis Aragonés is fed up with all of the Raúl talk lately and wants it left alone.
But really? He went to three World Cups and Two European Cups and we didn’t win. But we also didn’t win with the team that we had there, and with you as the coach Luis! You can’t possibly blame the losses in the World Cup and in the European Cup on Raúl, it’s just not possible.
Does he really think in his right mind that Raúl shouldn’t be playing for the NT? Everyone and their mother is calling for him to be on the roster but Luis still thinks that it is a bad idea. I do have to give him credit though for sticking to his guns, even though it is just a ludicrous decision. He’s a stubborn guy, even though he says in an interview with the REFE ‘No me parece que sea tozudo.’ ‘I don’t think that I’m stubborn’
His ability to turn the Spanish National Team into a three ring circus is shocking. Remember the whole telling Reyes that ‘You are better than that ‘negro’? (translate that at your own liking). Just watch here to see Luis at his finest, having his normal ‘talks’ with the players which normally are sessions where he berates them.
Really, it is time for Luis to go, as I’ve already mentioned here but we won’t see it happen will we? Until someone at the RFEF takes notice and has the cojones to do something, we will be stuck with this guy for a long time.
Maybe this weekend we can change up the formation a bit too instead of playing 4-4-2 always. Hell, throw Raul Tamudo, Luis Garcia and Torres all up front and see what we can do, or even put 5 in the midfield and spice it up a bit. Lets change the tactics just a bit and see how it works.
Unfortunately, I think we will all be buying the domain www.fireluisaragones.com?? Sometime soon. I just checked, the domain is still free.
PS. Check out this picture of ‘el niño’ holy man he looks like he is about 12 years old

why is Cesc Fabregas not in the starting eleven?!? He is absolutely amazing! Aragones is an idiot. The only reason Cesc isn’t playing is because he plays in England. I believe that if this continues it may force Fabregas to move to a Spanish club (Real, Barca???). Anyway, he’s better than Iniesta. I honestly cannot recall a tackle he’s ever made. Ever.
And I still haven’t forgot the racist behaviour. I lost ALL respect for him over that. The man doesn’t deserve to be in charge of one of the biggest, most talented, footballing country in the world. He brings shame upon the people of Spain.

As an Arsenal fan I’m glad that Cesc isn’t in the starting 11. Of all the players on international duty that Arsenal have, an injury to him would make me the angriest. Not just because we need him so much (although we do), but the thought of him getting injured for Aragones’ sake makes me angry.

Tamudo is in far better form than Raúl at the moment.

Cesc is in good form, but better than Iniesta, who’s Barcelona’s second best player at the moment? I’d say they should both be given a chance.
Aragones is an idiot.

personally i think using Tamudo was a much better choice than Raul. Ive always considerd him a bit overrated due to the fact he was on real Madrid. and frankly the only people that cry out WHERE IS raul are the people of Madrid .. in Valencia we dont cry about it. Cause our Villa is 1000x more talented and scores goals. Tamudo is right now in Villa’s absense and Torres as well the way to go.
And Guess what.. Tamudo scores the opening goal. Shut up madrid. hala

“Anyway, he’s better than Iniesta. I honestly cannot recall a tackle he’s ever made. Ever.”
So I guess you are admitting you never watched Iniesta play? He was used as a DM in Barca’s last two games and both were clean sheets, I think it’s safe to say he’s made a couple of tackles over the years.
Iniesta has been Spain’s best player in the Euro qualifications, Cesc is class but please don’t make clearly ignorant statements.
Also Aragones is a fool but for once he is right and his decision to use Tamudo while Villa and Torres were injured paid off over the weekend. Raul is not suited to be an out and out striker in the 4-4-3 system Aragones used and Joaquin and Iniesta (or Silva) are better choices on the wings

I’d love to be able to play a solid, yet attacking, ‘4-4-3′!!!
