Dos cervezas and a LIVE BLOG

This is officially the 100th post at the Sevilla offside, we beat Almería on the weekend with none of our top four strikers playing, and we are currently leading 2-0 in the 26th minute against Stuttgart in the UEFA Cup. Three big reasons to celebrate being a Sevillista.

So here it goes, my first ever live blog:

FINAL – SEVILLA 2-0 STUTTGART
90′ + 3′ – After Elson commits a foul on Romaric the final whistle is blown.
90′ + 3′ – some nice passing play by Maresca, De Mul and Rodríguez just to kill the clock
90′ – Gómez is flagged for offside AGAIN
85′ – De Mul flagged for an offside as he was just a bit too quick
83′ – Boulahrouz misses the target as the whole stadium cheers
82′ – Hilbert falls to the ground after De Mul barely touched him
75′ – SEVILLA SUBSTITUTION – Sevilla Atlético star Rodríguez comes in for ~~Jesús Navas~~
74′ – Stuttgart Substitution – ~~Boka~~ Rudy
72′ – YELLOW CARD – Pardo (Stuttgart)
69′ – YELLOW CARD – Palop; for wasting time
67′ – Palop saves a decent shot from Gómez
64′ – Boo’s whistle around the stadium as Boulahrouz handles the ball…
63′ – Gómez this time isn’t offside and hits the post for Stuttgart’s first real chance
62′ – SEVILLA SUBSITUTION – ~~Renato~~ Maresca
60′ – Marica (which in Spanish means gay by the way, just thought I’d put that out there) gets straight into the play taking the ball quickly but missing the target
58′ – Renato with a nice run but brought down by Hilbert at half
57′ – Stuttgart Substitution – ~~Lanig~~ Elson
55′ – Jesús Navas with a crack from pretty far out and totally misses the net.. good build up play though by Renato
54′ – GUESS WHO’S OFFSIDE? Yes, you’re right, it’s Gómez again.
53′ – Boka is becoming pretty frustrated as Romaric knocks him down this time
51′ – Squillaci fouls Boka and once again Palop gets some more catching practice off the freekick
48′ – De Mul fouls Hilbert and from the ensuing free kick Hitzelsperger gaves Palop a bit of catching practice
46′ – Stuttgart Substitution – ~~Träsch~~ Marica
46′ – Navas gets in the play right away but was a bit too eager and was caught offside
SECOND HALF BEGINS
HALF TIME
45′ + 1′ – De Mul sends in two nice corners but no one is on the receiving end.
44′ – Boka fouls Romaric as he was trying to get past him
42′ – Palop finally has something to do as Stuttgart get their first harmless shot on net
40′ – Jesús Navas with a darting run down the wing, only to be brought down by Boka and given a freekick
38′ – Adriano goes in hard against former teammate and asshole Boulahrouz to give away a harmless freekick
37′ – Gómez with his third offside to complete the hat-trick for the day
34′ – Adriano delivers another dangerous corner into the Suttgart box but it is easily cleared as no one is there on the receiving end
31′ – Träsch takes the corner for Stuttgart but Gómez is once again offside
29′ – Some nice build up play by Stuttgart but Lanig is flagged for offside
28′ – Adriano gives away a free kick after a foul on Hilbert
26′ – Squillaci misses the net after a perfect Adriano corner
23′ – Gómez caught in an obvious offside position behind the wall that is our back four.
21′ – SEVILLA SUBSTITUTION – ~~Acosta~~ De Mul
16′ – GOLAZZZZZZZZZO DE SEVILLA, UNA VEZ MAS – Renato got his head on the end of an amazing cross from Konko and the Kings of Europe are up 2-0
15′ – GOLAZZZZZZZZZO DE SEVILLA - beautiful freekick taken by Romaric in the top corner from the right side of the goal
13′ – Romaric flagged for offside after being way behind the Stuttgart back four
12′ – Pardo gives us a freekick off his hard tackle on Renato
8′ – Acosta with the nice run through the defence but just caught in an offside position
5′ – Renato with a nice darting in run, but just offside – first good chance of the game for either side
1′ – Adriano with the first foul of the game, sliding into Träsch
