interesting that sevilla finally settled with tottenham over juande ramos. wonder what the details were… maybe they’ll give us zokora

Alou Diarra is your solution. He’s an anchor at DM and would allow Romaric to forget about defense. He’s Bordeux’s captain, and almost made player of the year, but he lost-out to his teammate Y. Gourcuff. He’s not great on the NT- overshadowed by Toulalan and Lassana Diarra- but very good at the club level. He’s a pure DMF patrols the midfield but he gets foward and gets alot of headers on set-pieces(he did Lyon-in with one this year). I hope Sevilla get him. He’s much better than Zokara and maybe they can get him at the same price.

I think Zokora would be a half decent signing. Him and Romaric are familiar with each other’s style because they play together on international duty and not to mention he would be replacing Duscher who is pretty useless to be honest. He has a lot of pace so tracking back would never be a problem for him and his defensive abilities aren’t half-bad either.

The thing that scares me is this – we’re going to be playing in the Champions League next season and being a Spurs fan and watching most games I know that Zokora isn’t Champions League quality. Tottenham’s other defensive midfielder Wilson Palacios is, but there’s no way Harry Redknapp would let him go. I don’t watch the Ligue 1 so I’m not too familiar with Alou Diarra and the same applies for Raul Meireles who I’ve only seen twice in Porto’s CL clash with United.

On a positive note though; at this point, any of the three would be an improvement to what we currently have.

I don’t think we should be going for Zokora. We have to aim higher, though I wouldn’t mind Raul Meireles, and/or Alou Diarra. I think those two are a notch above Zokora.
