Copa del Rey Preview: SD Ponferradina v Sevilla

We, like many of the other La Liga teams are wondering who we are playing tomorrow in the fourth round of the Copa del Rey. SD Ponferradina are a small team from the region of Castilla and León located in the north of Spain and play in the Segunda B division. Their stadium holds a mere 8,200 people which should be quite the change of scenery and sound from the mere 43,000 spectators that pack the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán each and every week. None the less, these small teams can never be under estimated and although I’m sure Jiménez will be resting most of our regular starters, it will be a good time for players like Tom De Mul, goalkeeper Javi Varas and maybe even a couple few Sevilla Atlético stars such as Armenteros and Fernando to get a run around. It might also be a good time to give Cheva and possibly even Kanouté a game to get back into shape after coming off their recent minor injuries.
Random fact about SD Ponferradina: Had an historic victory in 1967 when they beat Real Madrid 6-1
Just wanted to post this video in order to bring back some amazing memories of two years ago when we won the Copa del Rey defeating Getafe in the final 1-0.
This should be a walk in the park and hopefully just a good workout for the upcoming game this weekend at Valladolid when we look to get back on track after losing our first this year at home to Málaga.
