And the blog marches on
By: Ryan | September 11th, 2007Hey everyone…
Sorry for the lack of Sevilla posts lately. I’m knee deep in work for my ph.d program and thus don’t really have much time to get anything out there lately. I’m also playing footy myself 5 days a week in hopes of making a semi-pro team in Buffalo this summer, so that’s pretty much my life right now.
And I have to make time for the girlfriend too.
Just a few quick Sevilla notes before it’s back to the books.
—Andres Palop has resigned with Sevilla until 2011, which will effectively allow the keeper to retire in Sevilla, as he has expressed interest in doing. Palop has made a huge impact in goal for Sevilla since coming to the club 2 years ago.
—Chevantón has expressed his desire to leave the club during the next transfer window. With Kanouté and Luis Fabiano current anchoring the attack and with Kone signed with Sevilla, there is no real place for Chevanton anymore. It’s a pity as Chevanton has great pace and can open up an attack with great speed and he has a real finishing touch. He netted 4 goals last season in 17 games, but honestly was brought on in the latter parts of many of the games, thus not giving him quality time to showcase his skills.
—Diego Capel had one hell of a game against Georgia for the under 21 Spanish side, terrorizing the Georgian team. He is improving every game I see him in, and Sevilla will use his presence on the left this weekend against Recreativo
Thats all kids. I’ll be back soon

Hi
Quick question for any Sevilla fan that knows his team.
Who is gonna start up front this season in the Champions League?
Kone, Kanoute, Fabiano…
Which two?

It will be Kanoute and one of the other two. my money is on Luis Fabiano to start the games and possibly Kone to come off of the bench. Until Kone gets some playing time under his belt and to see how he gels with the rest of the team, they won’t chance it. Especially how Luis Fabiano played excellent against AEK Athens.
